Well Known Secret
A renowned Sicilian musician is helping his teenage son's band break into the music scene in Scotland.
Singer Pino Leto, 45, is managing his son, Sonny's band Well Known Secret, who have already gathered an army of fans.
Talented singer/guitarist Sonny, 16, and his band mates Angus Mitchell,Singer/Guitarist, Grant McConnell, Rhythm Guitar, Raymond Anderson, Bass, and Martin Van Beck, Drums will be playing at the Garage in Glasgow this Friday (November 5).
And the garage gig will be extra special, as this will be the EP launch of the band's self titled 'Well Known Secret'.
The band who are all in fifth year at Greenfaulds High School have been together for just over a year.
They maybe young, but this band have already gigged in some of Glasgow's top venues including the ABC and Ivory Blacks.
Sonny can't wait for the gig this Friday, he said: "The band are really looking forward to it, We are really buzzing about Friday, we have sold all of the tickets we have and we have people coming from different places.
"We have a base of fans already and it should be really exciting."
Sonny added: "We started gigging this year, as we were writing songs before that - it took a bit of time to write the songs and when we had our set,we thought 'it's time to gig'."
Speaking about the band, Pino said: "A while ago Sonny decided to start playing the guitar - he has been with me when I have been gigging and he has always been fascinated by it.
"When he started to play the guitar we discovered a natural talent in Sonny."
Pino added: "I am not biased, I think the band is really good, because for 15 and 16 year old guys, they write their own music and they are doing very well."
Tickets for this Friday are £5 and can be purchased on the door.
