Nissan reveals new supercar

NISSAN'S new supercar, the 370Z, is being seen for the first time at the Los Angeles motor show ahead of its UK arrival early next year.

The archetypal muscle car will be blasting in with even more power and performance than the 350Z model that it replaces.

Power from the 3.7-litre V6 engine increases by 26bhp, which will reduce the 0-60mph acceleration time fractionally to under five and a half seconds although the top speed will remain electronically limited to 155mph.

In addition to cosmetic enhancements there will be improvements to the six-speed manual gearbox and an automatic option for the first time.

There are also improvements to the layout and quality of the interior.

Prices have yet to be announced but are likely to be in the region of £27,000 for the coupe and £29,000 for the convertible.
