Since the Wishaw Press revealed to parents last year that the school was under threat, the communities of Wishawhill and Craigneuk fought a long, but ultimately unsuccessful campaign, to keep it open. From next term, the pupils will move to other schools in the area but St Matthews will always have a special place in the hearts of local people. This video shows photos of the campaign.
