Prize night for Shotts Girls’ Brigade members

THE 1st Shotts Company Girls’ Brigade held their annual display and presentation of awards in Calderhead Erskine Parish Church in Shotts last Wednesday.

The company put on a display entitled ‘Much Ado About Joseph! – Sing-a-long’. After the colourful performance Miss Mary Goodwin (Captain from 1961-1970) and Mrs Margaret Sneddon (Captain from 1971-2004) presented the following awards and prizes:

Primary One: Bronze Star one year service, Alyssa Brennan; not a member long enough for an award, Carys Lang.

Primary Two: Silver Star one year service, Leah Marshall, Ashleigh Dunn and Amy Murphy; Silver Star two years service, Samantha Reynolds.

Primary Three: Gold Star one year service, Neve Morrison; Gold Star two years service, Lauren Smillie; Gold Star three years service, Tara Daly, Amy Johnston, Hannah Leonard, Kayleigh McLean and Alex Waugh.

Primary Four: First Circle one year service, Courtney King; First Circle two years service, Lara Brennan and Bethany Strang; First Circle four years service, Paige Bryce, Naimh Gallagher and Aileen McLuskie.

Primary Five: Second Circle one year service, Allana Gardner and Lauren Redmond; Second Circle three years service, Ellie McLean.
