Following his family tradition

SUPT Marshall Pretswell is following in his grandfather’s footsteps as Wishaw’s new top police officer.
His grandfather David Pretswell was a community-based police officer in the Cambusnethan area 100 years ago.
As a young man, David moved to one of the estate police gatehouses in the area in 1908, along with his wife Susan and his mother.
Supt Pretswell said: ”My grandfather was based within the community even then. Times may have changed, but the same principles still run though the police force today.”
