A PREGNANT woman was viciously kicked on the stomach after trying to intervene when a gang attacked her partner.
The sickening assault on the 27-year-old mum-to-be followed an argument with a group of teenagers outside the kiosk at Tesco’s garage forecourt in Wishaw.
The incident occurred around 3.30am last Friday morning.
The couple had walked across the supermarket car park towards the kiosk where, although entry isn’t allowed after midnight, purchases can be made.
As they approached, they noticed a group of around six youths – aged between 16 and 19 – hanging around outside the kiosk.
When they reached the forecourt a verbal altercation ensued between the pregnant woman’s partner and the group.
This resulted in a series of kicks and punches raining down on the man as he tried to walk away.
When the woman attempted to intervene and stop the attack, one of the youths, aged around 16, viciously kicked her in the stomach, before running off.
The youth who kicked the woman is described as being around 5ft 4ins tall, with dark, shaved hair and of average build.
He and his accomplices were wearing dark clothing.
