After winning a wacky online campaign that attracted thousands of views, these lucky students are the four new Faces of Motherwell College.

Over 100 people entered the contest that saw them post videos about themselves on YouTube.

Clips included young people performing Shakespeare in a corridor, dancing in a car park and doing press-ups in a living room.

And now these four will star across the college’s advertising campaigns over the next year after persuading their peers that they are the best people to represent the college.

The winners are students Tracy Cox, Lauren Macaulay, Blair Robertson and Reece Anderson.

Tracy, studying education support, burst into a version of I Can See Clearly Now to convince fellow students to vote for her. She said: “I’m thrilled to have won the public vote and looking forward to seeing the results around campus. It’s not every day you get to be involved in something like this and I’m delighted to join in and help promote our college.”

Black belt in karate and part-time model Lauren is in her first year on the HNC beauty therapy course, and said: “I think it’s a great opportunity and I think the college deserves to be praised for what they do for the students. ”

Second year electrical engineering student Blair Robertson said: “I’d like to have my face on posters because I’d like to be seen as a celebrity.”

And Reece Anderson, who is studying hairdressing and Higher Spanish, said: “I came to college because I wasn’t ready for uni yet, and I needed another Higher, and I’m really glad I did, everyone has been really friendly and it’s a pretty good atmosphere.” See www.youtube.com/user/OfficialMwellCollege
