M8 Fuel spillage update

The Westbound section of the M8 has now opened after a fuel spillage caused mayhem for thousands of drivers.
The spillage caused 15 accidents along the six mile stretch of the M8.
Police were forced to close the M8 between junction 10 Barlanark and junction 19 Anderston as a clean-up got underway.
The spillage also affected the A73, between Wishaw and Airdrie, which was also closed between the Newhouse roundabout and Newmains.
Strathclyde police hope traffic will be running as usual within the hour.
