MP’s bid to contain the road chaos

“I have written to North Lanarkshire Council asking three things.

“I’ve asked them to consider postponing the work until the Easter holidays, when there will be no schools traffic.

“I have asked if it would be possible for the contractors to work at the weekends, because four weekends would knock eight days off the schedule.

“And I have asked if it would be possible for the contractors to work beyond 5pm.

“I think the work should go ahead, but I believe there are things that can be done to alleviate the problems,” – MP Frank Roy.
