Computer stolen from school

THIEVES have broken into yet another local school and stolen a laptop.

During the latest break-in, which happened at Muirhouse Primary School, Motherwell, on Saturday afternoon, a window was smashed and the portable computer nicked from one of the classrooms.

Shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday, November 1, the school’s alarm was set off. When the janitor arrived, he found a window smashed and the laptop gone.

Cathedral Primary in Motherwell and St Matthew’s Primary in Wishaw, have also had laptops stolen after being broken into in recently.

Police are appealing for information and have asked a group of four youngsters who were seen playing football at the school to come forward in case they can shed any light on the break-in.
