PUPILS from St Aidan’s High School in Wishaw enjoyed a maths adventure weekend in the great outdoors at Loch Long last weekend.
Around 50 S5/6pupils, along with 10 maths teachers, attended the maths study weekend which was designed to help improve success at higher and advanced higher level.
Staying at the scenic Ardmay House in Arrochar, overlooking Loch Long, the pupils also participated in many outdoor activities including raft buildig and forest walking.
Margaret Hamilton, maths teacher at St Aidan’s said: “All the pupils agreed the trip was very worthwhile and that it was a great help to their studies as they strive to achieve their best.
“Special thanks to Mr MacDonald, principal teacher of the maths department for organising the trip and to the Edinburgh Mathematical Society who partly funded the weekend.”
