Firpark School

SADNESSThe Firpark School community were shocked and saddened last week by news of the sudden death of Mrs Shirley Fisher, one of the school’s ASNA assistants. Shirley had worked in Firpark School for approximately five years and was a very popular member of their team. She will be greatly missed by both pupils and staff. The school extend their thoughts and prayers to her family and friends at this sad time.

COUNCILCongratulations to the following pupils from Firpark School who are now school council representatives: Christopher Mulraine, Bronte Cairns, Raymond Walker, Nadine Blakely, Callum Crawford, Caitlin Truswell, Peter Kirley, Jamie Ferguson, Jonathan Murphy, Liam McMahon, Eilidh Henderson, Kyle Palmer, Sam Francis, Louise Campbell, Dominic Mulholland, Alison Douglas, Patrick Walker, Sophie Hathaway and Jamie McIntyre.

CONGRATULATINSFir Park also congratulate the following candidates who are now eco school representatives: Lucy Sloan, Mary Sweeney, Reece Caldwell, Lauren Hall, Gary Clark, Kevin McCourt, Andrew Walker, Luke McCulloch, Paul Anderson, Natasha Cowan, Lewis Narrowmore, Callum Hutchison, Taylor Mackie, Monica Nolan and Alistair Kiely.

SERVICEThe harvest festival service will take place in Firpark School on Wednesday, October 6 at 10.45am.

CATALOGUEClass 5/2 at Firpark School are running the Webb Ivory catalogue as part of their enterprise unit. The school extend their thanks to all concerned for their support.

RETIRALStaff and pupils from Firpark School would like to send their best wishes to Mrs Maureen Walker who has recently retired. She will be greatly missed by both staff and pupils. The school also send their best wishes to Mrs C. MacKenzie who is leaving to take up a new post as a depute head.
