PUPILS of Calderbridge Primary School in Wishaw have been involved in a safe parking campaign.
Junior Road Safety Officers came to the school to promote the road safety campaign and remind parents of the dangers of inconsiderate parking outside school gates.
Children, parents and teachers banded together to cut down the congestion around the school gates due to the merging of the two main local primary schools, Coltness and Lammermoor.
The school held competitions for the children to design posters, which were hung along the fence, design leaflets to be handed out before and after school, and to design a banner which was displayed outside the school’s main entrance. Abigail, P7, was the winner.
Head teacher Pamela Cairney said she has seen a “significant difference since the campaign.”
