Car crash sparks blaze

A car travelling on a minor road left the carriageway, crashing into an outbuilding and sparking a blaze, the fire service said.

Three fire engines were dispatched to tackle the blaze after the vehicle smashed into the outbuilding of a cottage.

Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service said the accident happened in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway.
