Doctor denies car bombing role

A high-flying NHS doctor has denied conspiring to kill hundreds of people in a terrorist car bombing campaign targeting Glasgow and London.

Mohammed Asha, 28, accused of masterminding last June's attacks on Glasgow Airport and London's West End, said he loved England, the health service and was totally committed to his medical training.

Speaking in his defence for the first time, Asha said nothing would make him jeopardise his wife and young son.
