Police to shred 3,000 weapons

Scotland's biggest police force will destroy 3,000 knives collected during part of an anti-violence campaign.

The weapons were seized or handed in during the first five months of Strathclyde Police's Campaign Against Violence.

They will be shredded by staff at Shanks Waste Management in Broxburn, East Lothian.
