Call for financial sector refocus

The Scottish finance sector must "renew its focus" to bring future success, the First Minister has said.

Alex Salmond told academics in Glasgow that resilience in the workforce will help reaffirm Scotland's role in global finance.

In an address to the Institute for Advanced Studies at Strathclyde University, Mr Salmond said: "Financial services will remain big global business and I am confident we have the people, profile and infrastructure in place to build upon our success and deliver future growth."
