Wishaw Juniors boss John McKeown hopes the weather is set fair for the weekend so his charges can get their league campaign back up and running.
The Beltane Park outfit have not played a Central District Two fixture since early October but hope to host Vale of Clyde on Saturday.
McKeown said: “We are not getting many league games on at this point. We have just played five this season but the good thing is there are not too many games in this league, so it’s not a problem just now. However from a momentum point of thing it’s not ideal. The boys have done pretty well so far this season and want to keep that going.”
McKeown took in Vale of Clyde’s 2-2 draw with Blantyre Vics on Saturday and expects a tricky game .
He added: “They are a decent side with a good attacking threat and some pace about them. They have got a bit of experience in their team as well. It should be a tough encounter as there is not a lot between the sides in this league.”
Meanwhile Ryan Mackie has left Wishaw due to work commitments and Michael Clarke and Robert Boyle have been farmed out to EK Thistle on loan.
