Law and District athletes in fine form at Lanarkshire championship

LAW and District athletes turned out in abundance at Wishaw Sports Centre recently for the annual Lanarkshire AAA Track and Field Championships.

A total of 43 medals, 16 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze were proudly won by Law's young athletes, many participating in this very popular competition for the first time.

A huge turn-out of athletes across Lanarkshire attended the event, which was held on Saturday August 30.

The Law results were – 100m U11Boys: Gold Jay Cowan 14.8; silver Rory McGrath 15.2, (S. Kelman 16.2, M. Bradshaw 16.8, D. Devine 16.8, K. Cubis 17.0, D. Hill 19). U13B: Fourth D. Daly 13.8, (J. Warnock 14.4, S. Murphy 14.5, C. Reynolds 14.7, R. Cullen 14.8, R. Fernon 15.0, S. Slamin 15.5, L. King 16.3). U15B: Bronze Lewis Nicholson 12.4, R. Hill 14.0.

U11Girls: Fourth, P. McNicol 15.8, (M. Warnock 16.8, E. McNicol 17.0, M. King 17.2, K. Marshall 17.8, C. Cartledge 18.1, M. Fraser 18.1, K. Cowe18.9). U13G: Fourth A. Anderson 14.4. U15G: Silver, Chelcie Dalziel 13.2, fifth Aimee Gray 14.2.

U17W: Gold Laura Livesey 12.9, Bronze Lynn Livesey 13.1. 200m U13B: Silver D. Daly 29.9, (J. Warnock 30.5, R. Fernon 31.9, L. King 35.1). U15B: Fourth L. Nicholson 25.8, fifth L. Hall 27.4.
