Law AAC girls strike gold at U14 Superteams event

LAW and District AAC girls struck gold at the National Under-14 Superteams competition last month.

The fab four – Reagan Binnie, Hannah Cussick, Pamela McNicol and Christina Murray – produced a brilliant performance to claim team gold at the championships, held at Grangemouth Stadium.

All four girls competed in the 200m, long jump and shot put before teaming up for the 4x100m relay.

Their individual results in each competition were: Reagan, 200m, 29.47 seconds; long jump, 4.04 metres; shot put, 5.67metres. Hannah, 200m, 31.45 seconds; long jump, 3.65 metres; shot put, 5.01 metres. Pamela, 200m, 28.77 seconds; long jump, 4.45 metres, shot put, 8.10 metres.Christina, 200m, 30.75 seconds; long jump, 3.84 metres; shot put, 7.64 metres. The girls’ relay time was 56.65 seconds.

In the boys competition, Law athletes Adam Boyle, Keiran Cubis, Lewis Donnelly and Morgan Jones finish in fifth place.

l The John Cumming Stadium team of Kirsten Cherrie, Emily Craig, Emily McNicol and Laura Mulligan were 14th in the girls event.
