Young bowlers in fine form

COLVILLE Park Bowling Club in Motherwell held their annual Junior Invitation Pairs on Sunday, August 17.

On the day 80 youngsters, between 11 and 18 years old, competed in glorious sunshine.

There was a home win, with Colville pair Jamie Forrest and Martin Bence clinching victory. Runners-up were Maureen McGeough and Christopher McGeough from Red Deer Bowling Club.

The organisers thank everyone who took part and contributed to the day being such a great success.

There was further good news for Colville Park when junior member Lisa Maxwell won the LWBA Junior Championships for the second year in a row.

The Coltness High pupil has also been selected to represent Scotland in a competition which will take place in Carlisle during September.
