Cream of Newmains recognised at 2008 prizewinners dance

NEWMAINS bowling club had their presentation dance recently when the club’s prizewinners for the 2008 season were announced.

The men’s section winners were: championship, M McParland; presidents, M McParland; non-winners, J Stark; handicap, T Craig; senior championship, M McParland; nomination pairs, M McParland and J Pahnke; club pairs, M McParland and J McRorie; nomination triples, J Cockburn, B Henderson and W McCann; club triples, J Pahnke, J Hill, W Rattray; two bowl singles, J Pahnke; nomination rink, Jock Johnston, J Wilson, C Johnston, Jim Rattray.

Ladies’ section winners were: championship, A Cunningham; presidents, A Cunningham; non winners, A Bryson; May Maxwell trophy, C McRorie; nomination pairs, A Cunningham and M Graham; club pairs, C Richmond and P Hill.

Junior section winners were: championship, G Stewart, mixed nomination pairs, D Devholm and A Cunningham; nomination triples, G Graham, I Hill and M Graham.
