Bowling tournament takes the biscuit for yet another success

THE annual Tunnock Trophy indoor bowling tournament has been won by the unfancied quartet of Guy Tait, Dan Dillon, James Currie and Bert Steele (skip).

After establishing a surprising 10 shot lead after two ends their opponents, Jack Campbell, George Warren, Robert Paterson and James Watson (skip), never recovered eventually conceding the match 20 shots to five.

The presentation of prizes was made by Bill Shanks, a representative of Thomas Tunnock Ltd, and this was followed by a delightful afternoon of tea, scones and a selection, of course, of Tunnock chocolate biscuits.

The very popular tournament has been sponsored for the last 17 years by Thomas Tunnock Limited.
