THE 11th annual Eric Baird Rosebowl competition took place last month at Lanarkshire Indoor Bowling Club.

This year’s event attracted a great number of entrants.

The final match proved to be the most thrilling contest between two very evenly matched teams.

The winning four included skipper Andy Thomson, Davy Morrison, Archie McLellan and George Dunsmore.

It needed a superb last three shots from skip Thomson to claim a 12-10 come-from-behind victory.

The tournament was sponsored by Eric Baird of Alex Baird Dairies, Hamilton.
