WISHAW Juniors ended their Central Division Two league campaign bottom of the table after failing in their attempt to catch local rivals Newmains United in their final two games of the season.
Wishaw had to take maximum points to overhaul United.
However, they lost 5-1 to Shettleston on Saturday and then played out an entertaining 4-4 draw with Forth Wanderers on Monday evening.
Wishaw manager Alex Young believes his side will come back stronger next season.
“We are all confident of huge improvement next season,” he said.
