Motherwell slip to tenth place in SPL

Aberdeen seen off visitors Motherwell with a 2-0 win at Pittodrie.

Jamie Murphy attempted to bring Motherwell into the lead but missed out, leaving a goal-less first half.

Gary McDonald brought Aberdeen to a one-nil lead 61 minutes in.

Leading the Pittodrie-side to a two-nil victory, Lee Miller scored from the penalty spot, six minutes later.

The result moves Aberdeen into fifth place in the Scottish Premier League while Motherwell fall to tenth.
