Motherwell held at Love Street

THE final game at St Mirren's Love Street proved to be a goalless draw as Motherwell were held by a strong Buddies' defence.

Andy Dorman had a great opportunity to put the home side in front early on with a turning shot in the 'Well area, but keeper Graeme Smith did well to save the effort.

Keith Lasley and Stephen Hughes both saw their efforts at goal turned away by the St Mirren defense, while a Chris Porter looping header was wide of the mark.

Motherwell had three penalty claims later in the second half - two seemingly for handball offences and one for Paul Quinn being pulled down in the area - but referee Alan Muir disagreed, ith the game ending 0-0.
