Motherwell 1-1 Hibernian
MOTHERWELL left Easter Road with a point after failing to convert a host of good chances.
Despite enjoying much of the possession, the away side couldn't find the net, while Hibs also squandered some chances. Derek Riordan opened the scoring in the first half with a well-taken opportunity from Ross Chisholm's hard-earned pass.
Hibs had some other chances later in the second half, but Riordan and Hungarian Denes Rosa's attempts were wide of the mark.
At the other end, Motherwell applied pressure on the Hibs goal, but a good effort from Paul Quinn was saved by keeper Grzegorz Szamotulski and Jamie Murphy's shot went past the post.
Motherwell were rewarded with a penalty after Murphy was pulled down in the box by Steven Thicot, and David Clarkson converted from the spot.
