Motherwell 1 - 1 Celtic
PAUL Quinn struck late on to deny Celtic top spot at Fir Park.
Motherwell went behind on the hour mark after Scott McDonald buried a chance after some neat work at the edge of the area. The former 'Well striker had came close twice in the first half, with one chance drifting just over the crossbar.
The poor surface affected the flow of the play, but Celtic always looked the more likely to score.
However, Quinn put the ball past Artur Boruc near the close of the second half after a dangerous cross from Jim O'Brien.
The goal means Celtic now lie behind Rangers in the race for the title, while Mark McGhee's men have climbed into the top six.
