Motherwell end season on a low

Motherwell 1 - 2 Kilmarnock

MOTHERWELL ended their season with a whimper rather than a bang as they fell at home to an under-strength Kilmarnock.

Despite Killie boss Jim Jefferies's squad changes, Danny Invincible put them ahead after 27 minutes with a neat finish inside the area.

However, Motherwell battled back, with Brian McLean equalising with a tap-in from up close with ten minutes left on the clock.

Both teams had good chances to score, with Cillian Sheridan coming close early on, while at the other end, Manuel Pascali scuppered a decent chance.

However, it was Killie who nicked it in the dying seconds, with some fancy footwork and a shot from a tight angle from midfielder Mehdi Taouil finding its way into the net.
