Victory for O’Raw

GARY O’Raw came out top in the scratch and handicap in the first class at Wishaw Golf Club, with fellow team players Scott Durno, Kenny MacLean, and Ricky Forrest close behind.

Paul McCaughey won the second class from veteran John Dow. Donny Cardwell pipped Colin Campbell won the B.I.H rule for the third class.

Results: First class 1, Gary O’Raw, 68-5-63; 2, Scott Durno, 70-4-66 (B.I.H); 3, Kenny MacLean, 70-4-66; 4, Ricky Forrest, 72-5-67 (B.I.H).

Second class 1, Paul McCaughey, 80-15-65; 2, John Dow, 81-15-66; 3, Andy Forsyth, 79-11-67 (B.I.H); 4, Alan McGregor, 80-13-67.

Third class 1, Donny Cardwell, 84-20-64 (B.I.H); 2, Colin Campbell, 86-22-64; 3, Paul Dorman, 84-19-65; 4, Guy Sinclair, 83-17-66.

The gents team suffered a home defeat to Crow Wood, 6-4, but the seniors team won 5-0 against Mount Ellen at home.

This week’s competition is the club championship and the presentation will be made at the dance. All are welcome to the dance where favourite band Still Water will be playing. If you are on the prize list, please make an effort to attend.
