WISHAW Golf Club latest: Saturday’s competition started but was postponed after one hour owing to adverse weather.

But last week’s Joe Wark four ball, best ball, did get played.

John Wardrope and Kevin Sloey were the winners from Scott Durno and Francis Ferguson by one shot.

Result: first, John Wardrope and Kevin Sloey, 58; second, Scott Durno and Francis Ferguson, 59; third, Keiran McGarry and Craig Stockman, 60; fourth, Willie Barry and Willie Black, 60 (BIH); fifth, Jim Douglas and Davie Connacher, 60.

Meanwhile, Scott Campbell won the Junior Club championship.

The presentation of prizes on November 7: tickets will go on sale on Saturday, October 22, at 1.30pm priced at £20 .

All tickets must be paid at the time.
