Texas Scramble

Although conditions were heavy, scoring was very good for Wishaw Golf Club’s Texas Scramble, the final competition of the season.

The first three groups were separated by the BIH rule.

Results: 1, Peter (junior), Michael and Kevin Carty and Kevin Sloey, 62-5-57 (BIH).

2, Jim McDonald, Stevie Smith, Eddie and David Garry, 63-6-57 (BIH).

3, Stuart Cassidy, Chic Drysdale, Mark Waldie, David McAleavy, 61-4-57.

4, Willie Cummins, Martin Clifford, Steven Nelson, Ross McNaughton, 61-3.4-57.6.

Meanwhile tickets for the prize presentation go on sale on Saturday at 1pm for prize winners and 1.30pm for others. They are priced £20 each.

This week sees the start of the club’s winter leagues.
