Charities are the winners after pro-am

SEVEN local charities picked up a total of £1750 last week, proceeds of last year’s Wishaw Golf Club pro-am.

The cheques were presented by Harry Ward from the McKindless Group, who were the main sponsors for the event.

Eddie Higgins, last year’s pro-am convener, thanked the McKindless Group for their generous contribution on behalf of all the charities.

The Wishaw Golf pro-am is held annually and its success is down to the kind donations from local businesses.

This year’s event will take place on Sunday, June 7. If anyone would like to sponsor a team this year, contact Wishaw Golf Club.
