THERE was a large turn-out for Saturday’s Ford Trophy and Matchday qualifiers at Wishaw Golf Club.
Almost 250 players took part and the outright winner was Michael Carty, who also won the first class from Connor McLeod, who won the scratch.
Charlie McGhee won the second class from Tom Cullen and Chris McCafferty (junior) got home by one shot in the third class.

This week’s competition is the Douglas Young Second Round Belhaven Best qualifier and pro-am with a shotgun foursomes on Bank Holiday. The course will be closed until 12.30pm for the competition.
