Texas Scramble

THE final competition of the season at Wishaw Golf Club was the Texas Scramble.

It was well attended, with 185 players taking part and was keenly contested in good scoring conditions.

The first group out, Graeme, Stuart and Jim Schoneville and Stuart Crossley posted a winning score of 55.2.

Results: 1, The Schoneville and Stuart Crossley, 55.2; 2, Grant Murdoch, Alan Brownlie, Stuart Cassidy, John McGuigan, 55.8 (B.I.H); 3, M&P Carty (junior), Dennis Green, Martin Fisher, 55.8; 4, T&S Reilly, Tom Kidd, Jim Swan, 57.1.

Meanwhile in the Sunday Club, Davie McDowall claimed a hole in one at the sixth hole.

The presentation of prizes will be held on Friday November 6. Tickets go on sale on Saturday (October 24) at 1pm for prize winners and 1.30pm for others Tickets cost £20.

The winter leagues will begin this weekend.
