Wishaw Golf Club latest

THE monthly medal at Wishaw Golf Club on Saturday was played in improving conditions but greens and heavy rough resulted in the competition scratch score being up at 70.

The First Class was won by youngster Callum Connacher by three shots from Brendan O’Keane, David Connacher and Ross Wight.

Colin Sneddon won the Second Class by three shots in a best net score of the day with Tom Sommerville and Mark Lennox just behind.

The Third Class went to veteran Ian Bill on the bih rule from Andy Provan.

The Lombard Qualifier was Brendan O’Keane.

Results: First Class, 1, Callum Connacher, 71-6-65; 2, Brendan O’Keane, 75-7-68 (bih); 3, David Connacher, 72-4-68 (bih); 4, Ross Wight, 74-6-68.

Second Class, 1, Colin Sneddon, 76-13-63; 2, Tom Sommerville, 79-13-66; 3, Mark Lennox, 79-11-68; 4, David Robertson, 83-14-69 (bih).

Third Class, 1, Ian Bill, 85-20-65 (bih); 2, Andy Provan, 82-17-65; 3, Jim Bradley, 84-16-68; 4, Liam Molloy, 86-16-70.
