THE June Medal and Club Championship qualifier at Wishaw Golf Club last week saw some good scores in all classes, although heavy overnight rain made the course longer.
The first class went to Tom Ballantyne by one shot from Garry Leary and Kevin Parry.
Gerry McLelland (senior) pipped Martin Fisher by one shot in the second class.
The third class saw Martin O’Keane see off Liam Molloy by two shots.
Stuart Cassidy leads the Championship by one shot.

Scratch qualifying score was 81 (one only).
Ladies Macmillan Nurses Qualifier, Division 1, Heather Connacher, 93-20-73; 2, Joan Marsh, 93-19-74 (B.I.H). Division 2, 1, Anne McNaughton, 98-27-71; 2, Ann Matthews, 110-36-74.
Winners of the Linda Mitchell Greensome were Marshall and Garry.
The Morrison Trophy will now be played on September 11, while entries will now be taken for the Janice Baillie Trophy on July 10.
The Club Championship presentation will take place at the free dance, with Maria supplying the music.
Last week’s tournament was won by D. Lambie of Easter Moffat Golf Club.
