Golf club charity pro-am

WISHAW Golf Club’s Tartan Tour charity pro-am takes place this Sunday (June 7).

The event will be sponsored by United Taxis and the club are urging people from the area to turn out in their numbers.

Admission is just £2 which also pays for a prize draw programme.

Jim Mclean of Wishaw Golf Club said: “There is certainly a buzz about the club at the moment and we are all very much looking forward to the event.

“I hope that the public come and support the event and I’m sure it will be a great occasion.”

A host of talented golfers will be taking part on the day including former Volvo PGA Championship winner, Andrew Oldcorn, Scott Henderson and last week’s Northern Open winner Craig Lee as well as Craig Ronald, Stuart Adair, David Park, Grant Robertson, Gary Dingwall, Steven Taylor, Fraser McLaughlin, Jason McCreadie and 1994 European Tour Rookie of the Year Jonathan Lomas.
