DALZIEL RFC’s youngsters made it four wins out of four in the under-15s Bowl tournament after a convincing win at Whitecraigs on Sunday.
Despite being cheered on by a large home support and the fact their forwards had the physical advantage, Whitecraigs were no match for Dalziel’s combative unit.
Dalziel dominated the set piece, allowing their backs to show their pace and skill to run in a total of six tries. At half-time, Dalziel were 22-0 ahead thanks to tries from Calum Glover, Fraser Skinner, captain David Connolly and scrum-half Martin McCormack.
The second half brought further tries for Glover and Connolly.
Gary Stokes converted a try in each half as the visitors claimed a 34-0 win.
This weekend Dalziel’s final fixture in the tournament is away at Kilmarnock.
